Youth Goal #6 – Moving Rural Youth Forward

This episode was created by the Italian organization Scambieuropei. Today, we are taking you to the countryside of Bologna, in the Emilia-Romagna region, to talk about the Youth Goal “Moving Rural Youth Forward”.

Through this goal, the EU intends to create conditions which enable young people to fulfill their potential in rural areas. It has become a priority for the EU to ensure the decentralisation of different activities by, for and with young people in order to support their inclusion and to benefit local communities. Another important thing is to empower young people in rural areas for them to actively participate in decision-making processes. In this episode,

Tommaso and Caterina share with us their experience as two young people living in a rural area and actively involved in the fight against climate change. Their project, Podere 101, represents a significant example of youth active engagement and a source of benefits for the local community.
